Docent, Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park Museum
Fells Point MD January 2006 – July 2006 (intern); July 2006 – December 2006 (docent)

The Frederick Douglass Isaac Myers Maritime Park (FDIMMP) Museum was my first museum internship. My internship under Curator Dr. Dianne Swann-Wright occurred during the late planning and implementation phases of building the new museum. During this time I created and maintained Access photo archive database for docent reference library, and assisted with a variety of museum development activities leading to the opening of and early programming in the museum.
Upon hiring on, I led school groups and other visitors through the museum tour.

This experience significantly influenced my Fall 2007 projects for the Frederick Douglass House.
